Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi – Lucknow – Sravasti
After breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board the Shatabdi Express to Lucknow. Upon arrival, continue your drive to Sravasti, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites. It is believed that Lord Buddha spent many monsoon seasons here and delivered several significant sermons. Explore the ancient monasteries and stupas before retiring for an overnight stay in Sravasti.
Day 03: Sravasti – Lumbini – Kushinagar
After breakfast, depart for Kushinagar. En route, visit Lumbini in Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Explore the sacred Mayadevi Temple, the Ashokan Pillar, and the holy Pushkarini Pond. After paying homage at these revered sites, continue your journey to Kushinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Kushinagar – Vaishali – Patna
Begin the day by visiting Kushinagar, where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana (final liberation). Explore the Mahaparinirvana Temple and the Rambhar Stupa, the site of Buddha’s cremation. Later, drive to Patna via Vaishali, where Buddha announced his impending Mahaparinirvana. Patna, historically known as Pataliputra, was an important center during Buddha’s lifetime. Overnight stay in Patna.
Day 05: Patna – Rajgir – Nalanda – Bodhgaya
After breakfast, proceed to Rajgir and Nalanda. Nalanda was the world’s oldest residential university and a renowned center of Buddhist learning. Rajgir, the ancient capital of the Magadha Kingdom, was one of Buddha’s favorite retreats and the site of many of his teachings. Visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Griddhakuta Hill, and Venuvana Vihara before continuing to Bodhgaya. Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 06: Bodhgaya – Varanasi
After breakfast, visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple Complex and the Bodhi Tree, under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The temple, originally commissioned by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC, is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. After sightseeing, drive to Varanasi and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 07: Varanasi – Agra
Early in the morning, enjoy a serene boat ride on the holy River Ganges and witness the breathtaking sunrise over Varanasi. Later, explore the city, including visits to Bharat Mata Temple and the Banaras Hindu University campus. In the afternoon, take an excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. In the evening, transfer to the railway station to board your overnight train to Agra.
Day 08: Agra – Delhi Departure
Arrive in Agra early in the morning and visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, an enduring symbol of love and one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces. Continue your sightseeing with a visit to the majestic Agra Fort, offering spectacular views of the Taj Mahal. Later, drive to Delhi and transfer to the International Airport for your onward journey back home, carrying cherished memories of this spiritual and cultural adventure.
